I took this a few years back and could not do much with it, or so I thought! Well I have put it through Photomatix and in fact did a double tonemapping which has brought it out to full glory, or so I hope.
Took this shot on board a boat going down the Ottawa River on my way to work believe it or not. It was early morning in the Fall. Just a note, if you think that is a halo top right you are mistaken as the sky around this hill feature on the other side is actually quite bright and sunlit!

Generally I wouldnt go for the over-saturated surreal look but with this image it works
