@ Tryphon.....Why HDR any Photograph? Reason...To show more light, shadows, details of subjects that one would not see otherwise in a regular image. That's WHY!

This was shot as stated at nearly 200 ft away then heavily cropped. Without HDR processing, scales on Gators or even teeth would not bee seen from this distance. Hope this helps you understand a little bit more about HDR.
