9++ = 10...for me Phil, I agree with Randall that a more contrasting background would help the subject stand out more. You only have a small window to get this shot before the bird fly's off...

Have to agree that similarity of colour and flatness of the bird kills this. Its a certain 9 but I like to see you smile so here is a big fat 10!
