Notes This little guy, the 'giant', South African equivalent of a humming bird, has a red and a blue collar band but he's not at the correct angle for these to show. He's on an aloe flower spike in Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, near Cape Town.
A lesser double-collared sunbird, a drop of nectar on his beak, prepares to take off to another aloe flower.
