Swirling sandstone rock formations on the slopes of Coyote Bluffs at the Paria Canyon-Vermillion Cliffs wilderness area of Northern Arizona near the Utah border. I got lucky with a first draw permit to take the 2 1/2-3 hr hike to the site. Only 10 are permited entry per day on site and 10 if applied for four months in advance on line. Commonly called "The Wave"
