Cloud Gate, nicknamed "The Bean" because of its shape is the center piece of the AT&T Plaza in Millennium Park in Chicago, Illinois. It was created by Indian born British artist, Anish Kapoor . It is made up of 168 stainless steel plates that are welded together and polished so no seams can be seen. It weighs 110 tons. His sculpture was inspired by liquid mercury and reflections and distortions of the city's skyline can be seen on its mirror-like surface. Visitors are free to walk around and underneath the sculpture. I caught this image of a young girl giving the appearance of "Holding Up the Bean"
