While taking a few shots of the entrance portico to the grand Victorian Houses of Parliament in Melbourne, I met this photographer and his 'model'. He explained that he'd just done a wedding nearby, and thought, while he had his camera and a pretty wedding guest ... This is one end of the entrance. The main one is about where I was standing. The houses were built on the great wealth that came to Victoria, the richest colony on the continent at that point, as a result of the fabulous amounts of gold mined during the last half of the 19th Century and into the early 20th.
