My first job was at a local eatery in a mall called the Le Petit Cafe. It was a small French themed cafe with American hamburgers. Not exactly French but it was a job. I think I made $1.15 an hour. I don't want to mention how long ago that was, though, but the wage should give my years away!! Haha

Well, I had the opportunity to go to the US for a few year because our mother company was based in Minneapolis
So I was 5 times there for business
And yes, there are some French-like "Bistros" in the US...very nice I must admit..
So I only know Minneapolis, I had no real possibility to visit the hole state...I was most of the time in the company
