This is a view of the famous Cape Point and one of its two lighthouses, taken from the Cape of Good Hope. Many people think that Cape Point is the southernmost tip of Africa. The somewhat lower-key Cape of Good Hope, where I was standing, is actually further south but neither of them is the tip of Africa. That distinction belongs to the even lower-key Cape Agulhas, which is about 140 km to the ESE.
