I must say I've never seen a Windmill without the Fan Blades. But then again you did title it....."Old Windmill"....LOL. Very clean with a beautiful sky Graham

@digicam Thanks Ed, yes there are quite a few over here where they take off the blades in the winter with strong winds....

Must be a lot of work involved in taking down then re-installing. First one I've ever seen without the blades. Great Pic and a History lesson to boot!
