"The Watchman" Another composition of a similar image I posted over a week ago. A complete reprocessing of a June , 2013 image. It started as a 7 shot hDR with a 16.1 Mb crop sensor. It was further cropped to about 75-80% of the original for purposes of composition. It was first merged in Photomatix Pro to a 32 bit radiance image and preprocessed on Adobe CC until it was converted to a 16 bit Tiff file. It was then processed with multiple layer adjustments using masks and blending brushes until the image was completed before any detailing or sharpening. I added a few layer adjustments with some of the contrasting tools in On1.At this point I wanted to experiment with some of the Ai tools. I put it in Gigapixel X4, resized down to the native then did another Gigapixel application X2 and again resized down. Honestly the detail ( not sharpness ) was better than some of the images that I have taken with the Canon 5D S R at 50.6 megapixels. I finished with a run through of Ai sharpening and was surprised that it just hit the areas that needed it. I doubt that the resizing for the internet will show the resolution and detail, but the process is certainly worthy of experimentation/

HDR at it's BEST. It blows me away that you can manipulate this image into so many programs back and forth and not lose the integrity of the image and at the same time make it better. I envy your expertise. FaveD!

Great image Steve, a lot of work put into this image just a shame on the blown highlights in the sky & sensor dust.....

Just saw those flaws. Never should have gotten past “quality control”?. Will fix ‘em. Thanks for pointing it out. Ed had a couple of good tips too on email. @inkslinger_ii
