The Stanley Hotel, opened in 1909 by F.O.Stanley, who invented the Stanley Steamer automobile with his brother E.O.Stanley. The hotel was also the inspiration for "The Shining" by Stephen King. This is one of the prints and postcards I have done for the hotel and is currently available through the gift shop at the hotel.
Beautiful photo, but I wonder why the trees on the upper left came out so blueish! Isn't it strange?
@jorgehdrbrazil Not uncommon here at this altitude (7,500 ft above sea level), taken with long lens (200mm) which compressed the mountains in background.
Just a beautiful place and shot. I can see why you'd sell a lot of post cards!
Impressive image. Love the three layers of mountains!
The processing on this one Greg is Excellent. Clean and Sharp as a Tack for such a large composition. Favorite.
Congrats on POTD Greg.....Well Deserved!
