Today was the first day with spring-like weather. I took my sweet time walking the dog and making a number of bracketed exposures to bring out the deep blue of the sky while retaining foreground detail. The Sigma 8-16mm ultrawide is quickly overwhelmed by DR differences in the images resulting in burning out that beautiful sky. In this case I was after a natural effect. I save in TIFF from Photomatix and post-processed minimally in Darktable.

why 2 steps eV ? Way to much for this low contrast picture!

@philta22 You' re absolutely correct but I had set the 2 steps eV while walking through a dense forest to the park - never reset it, just lazy or forgetful I presume...
