Sorry, but with this slightly dark sky I see the falls with too bright a light, there is no balance ....

@pandarino it was dark because I was standing in a light rain with heavily overcast skies. Falls reflect bright because of layer using no polarizer to allow for the reflection to be feathered in. Ultimately the deeper colors were due to the rain and use of the polarizer for the main bracket series.

@pandarino thanks. It was a pretty place that I shot two years before. This was near the junkyard that I’ve been to many times. I’ve posted several of those too if you’re into rust. Not much architecture here as you have in your home country. And that is beautiful. Here the only places with decent architecture is Chicago. That place is turning into a war zone. Last summer a friend was knocked down , his gear stolen but not before he was hit a couple of times with his tripod. Regarding the mills though, many throughout the southeast US. I’d like to take a longer trip and capture as many as I could. I’ve seen some beautiful ones from France too. Not sure if they are by you. I’ll probably retire next year and start taking a few trips. Maybe to my Moms birthplace in Falcade Italy again but this time with a camera!!

@pandarino I’ll have to Google the Mills. My moms house was on the west slope of Falcade. She had to escape in 1938. Her father was a political prisoner being transported to some Austrian prison camp but jumped off the train. They were coming after the family to try and get him to expose himself. My mother her, mom and a brother hid in the hills for a couple of weeks then got to Switzerland. The house is still in the family since 1300. I went there in 2001. Her cousin had closed the house ( next door) and I was the first in since 1938. A time capsule with most of their belongings still in place. After I told her cousin that she had died the year before, he gave it to the next in line. I think it’s a B&B now. A real interesting experience and absolutely beautiful town. And the mountains !! Awesome.
