This is a waterscape. The 'subject' is the beautiful sunset on the lake.
And I'm not sure if you've ever tried doing an HDR photograph of flying birds but it DOESN'T WORK! I think you're 'lacking' a knowledge of HDR

This is a classic landscape, no sense in arguing the point. I don't think it "lacks a subject", but it would be interesting to see something more unique added to the classic quality, as it is hardly enhanced by HDR here.

Without HDR you wouldn't even see the flowers at bottom right or the trees at bottom left. Without HDR I could get either the sky or the waterscape, but not both. HDR makes it possible to see what I saw when I was there. I agree with most of your senti

Dylan, no matter how you argue or complain this just isn't that great of phone. Someone with a disposable camera could create this image....if not better. Find a new location and call your pictures what they are.
