@digicam nice shot Ed. I’ve got to dig up some wildlife shots I’ve done in the past. It’s hard to get as close to those egrets up here. They spook easily.
Very nice capture Ed, well done.
Hey Ed, I suspect you are one of the top National Geographic photographers.:—)
@steve_zasadny , This one was nesting, so they do not scare off very easily.
@kitfox , thanks for your time and comment Jim.
@dmitry , Thanks for the compliment dmitry but I am far from being considered in that group of photographers.
@digicam , From Mid Feb.-May is when they nest here. Once they have built their nest and the eggs have been laid you can get within 75-100 feet of them. They are very protective of their nest and eggs. You can tell when they are nesting by the Green Mask between the Bill and the Eye. This is the only time of the year that the Green appears on them. They constantly build and reinforce the nest throughout the mating season.
@rcuello , thanks Ricardo, Much Appreciated.
@dmitry , thanks Dmitry, Much Appreciated.
Congratulations Ed 1st place win. This is an exceptional photo, very well done.
